The stakes seem to only be getting higher in Sin City, but Waldorf Astoria is hoping to be a big player in the game.We are Out West Restaurant Group, the largest franchisee of Outback Steakhouse. ![]() That same month the Palms Casino Resort unveiled the first stage of its $620 million makeover, which is slated for completion next year. In May the historic Monte Carlo was taken over by Park MGM, a two-in-one resort that will see the arrival of NoMad Las Vegas later this year, and will also bring in a heap of new facilities (hello, Eataly). The property also had a significant overhaul of its dining options, with the last of it in the form of a food hall that opened today and a high-end Chinese restaurant coming soon. Last year the Cosmpolitan of Las Vegas unveiled exclusive penthouses designed by a trio of powerhouse architects (Tihany Design, Daun Curry, and Richmond International) followed by a room renovation earlier this year. The arrival of Waldorf Astoria is just one of many changes happening with Las Vegas’s hotel scene. A pool deck is also available on the eighth floor, where a variety of water features are at your disposal and cabanas serve as your private sanctuary. The hotel is also home to a 27,000-square-foot spa featuring fully customizable experiences, seven couple’s suites, multiple relaxation experiences, a hammam, and a Zen Foot Spa. The coveted bar on the 23rd floor shaking up exceptional cocktails paired with stellar views has been renamed SkyBar while the former all-day Mozen Bistro has become Zen Kitchen, where there is a focus on contemporary Asian dishes. Twist by Michelin-rated chef Pierre Gagnaire will still be serving up extraordinary fare at the French maestro’s only restaurant in the United States and afternoon bites at the Tea Lounge will continue to be offered. Majority of their food and beverage program also isn’t going anywhere.
